Down from the Mountain-Tops

About four years ago one of my best friends and his wife decided to up and move to Colorado. Needless to say I was jealous!

I can remember the first trip I took with them to the mountain town that eventually became their home; Pagosa Springs, Colorado. It was actually the first I'd ever heard of the Ski Pass called 'Wolf Creek,' and from there my novice education of what fresh powder is was forever changed.

I'll never forget riding the lift up to the top and not being able to see more than 10-yards in front of my poles. Skiing to the edge of a tree-bank just to sit and watch people blindly pass by, finding their way down the mountain and hoping to see someone choose the wrong slope so I could watch as they fell their way down the mogul's of the black diamonds. It was awesome!

Now, four years later and I've yet to be back for another ski season. So, I'm still jealous; but that's besides the point. They are about to introduce their baby girl into this world and I was honored by getting photograph their beautifully courageous family. So here they are, some of my best friends; the 'McGuires!'
